Greg's handling of the trick is to me the perfect complement to the Weber/Dill version. Their method is frightening to the audience. It's as clean as clean gets. I don't believe there is a downside but the only possible one is that “New World” is not examinable.

COSMOS on the other hand is examinable. I believe the thinking professionals will use COSMOS in several valuable ways. First, if the trick is one of your reputation makers (and we know it certainly can be) then COSMOS is perfect for repeat performances. It can work at a later date, or with a deck switch, can allow you an instant repeat performance of the effect with a totally different method.

Second, pros often find themselves in situations where you're not "loaded for bear", the case is in the trunk of your car and in a social situation someone tells the crowd about the effect and they bring you a deck to do it with...what do you do...COSMOS.

My personal rule has always been this, if I pick an effect to perform I learn every thing I can about the effect. No doubt in my mind that COSMOS is a MUST learn for anyone who performs any version of this outstanding effect.
